Recently UK lottery operator Camelot confirmed that the winner to the £28 million has come up to claim their winning ticket. The winner, however, has not yet decided whether they would like to make their identity public or keep it private for the time being. The winning ticket was one from last Friday’s night draw and is the newest in the line of many that have won the EuroMillions, turning people into millionaires and changing their lives forever. Winners have been able to make some big changes to their lives with their mega winning amounts, starting with trips abroad to buying a new house and funding children’s education.
The other EuroMillions jackpot winners
In March, Richard and Angela Maxwell, Lincolnshire residents, won £53 million. Another big ticket that was won with a whopping amount of £93 million was claimed however, the winners decided to keep their identity anonymous. The Maxwells were very forthcoming about their big win and explained how they came across the big news. Coincidently the winning ticket was announced on March 31st which led the retired couple to believe that they have been the fooled on April Fool’s day.
Mr. Maxwell even thought that someone might have played an elaborate trick by scanning his ticket and placing it on the EuroMillions website. When finally he realized that he had won £53 million, he decided to tell his wife Angela, who too thought that her husband was playing an April Fool’s prank on her. The Maxwell couple is now the 10th richest in the National Lottery Rich List.
